Daniel’s legacy as an educator stems from his passion for unlocking potential. In his work as a Designer and Art Director at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and later Creative Director at Curriculum Associates, Daniel positively influenced the lives of literally millions of students. He didn’t look at his work only as a professional responsibility to design, create, and forge beautiful works, but also as a responsibility to the students who used his works, in print, in games or online. He sought to engage them, educate them, expand their possibilities—unlock their potential. As a lover of cartoons, anime and video games, he was a "kid at heart" which made his creative efforts seamlessly easy to relate to young students and get/keep them engaged.
